Description

• Active Ingredients:
  • Tamsulosin HCL: An alpha-1 adrenergic antagonist that helps relax the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate.
  • Dutasteride: A 5-alpha reductase inhibitor that reduces the size of the prostate gland by decreasing the levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
• Indications:
  • Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
  • Improvement of urinary symptoms associated with BPH (e.g., difficulty urinating, weak stream, frequent urination)
• Mechanism of Action:
  • Tamsulosin: Selectively blocks alpha-1 adrenergic receptors in the prostate and bladder neck, leading to muscle relaxation and improved urine flow.
  • Dutasteride: Inhibits the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by blocking the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which helps shrink the enlarged prostate gland and reduce BPH symptoms.
