Description

Avtel-H is a pharmaceutical drug that combines Telmisartan (40 mg) and Hydrochlorothiazide in its formulation. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, which is commonly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin II, which results in the relaxation of blood vessels. Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention.
