Description

AVTEL-AM combines two active substances, Telmisartan and Amlodipine, in a single tablet, formulated to provide a synergistic effect in lowering high blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular problems. Telmisartan, at a dosage of 40 mg, works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor, leading to relaxation of blood vessels. Amlodipine, at 5 mg, complements this action by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, promoting further vasodilation and reducing cardiac workload.
