Description

• Active Ingredients:
  • Mefenamic Acid IP 250 mg: A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides pain relief and reduces inflammation.
  • Dicyclomine HCL IP 20 mg: An antispasmodic agent that relieves smooth muscle spasms.
• Indications:
  • Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea)
  • Gastrointestinal cramps
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Colic pain
  • Muscle spasms
  • Pain associated with urinary tract infections
• Mechanism of Action:
  • Mefenamic Acid: Inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which are involved in the synthesis of prostaglandins, thereby reducing pain and inflammation.
  • Dicyclomine: Relieves smooth muscle spasms by inhibiting the action of acetylcholine on muscarinic receptors in the gastrointestinal tract, leading to muscle relaxation.
