Description

• Active Ingredients:
  • Ivermectin 6 mg: An antiparasitic agent effective against various parasites, including those causing onchocerciasis (river blindness), lymphatic filariasis, and strongyloidiasis.
  • Albendazole 400 mg: A broad-spectrum anthelmintic effective against a wide range of worms, including those causing neurocysticercosis, echinococcosis, and other helminthic infections.
• Indications:
  • Treatment of various parasitic infections
  • Onchocerciasis (river blindness)
  • Lymphatic filariasis
  • Strongyloidiasis
  • Neurocysticercosis (caused by Taenia solium)
  • Echinococcosis (caused by Echinococcus granulosus)
  • Other helminthic infections
• Mechanism of Action:
  • Ivermectin: Binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in the parasite’s nerve and muscle cells, leading to paralysis and death of the parasite.
  • Albendazole: Inhibits the polymerization of tubulin into microtubules, disrupting essential cellular functions in helminths and leading to their death.
• Benefits:

  • Effective in treating mixed parasitic infections.
  • Provides rapid relief from parasitic symptoms.
• Precautions: Not recommended for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to ivermectin, albendazole, or any other components of the formulation.
