Description

• Active Ingredients:
  • Cefixime Trihydrate IP 200 mg: A third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic.
  • Ofloxacin IP 200 mg: A fluoroquinolone antibiotic.
• Indications:
  • Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia)
  • Urinary tract infections (e.g., cystitis, pyelonephritis)
  • Gastrointestinal infections (e.g., bacterial diarrhea, dysentery)
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Otitis media (middle ear infections)
  • Pharyngitis and tonsillitis
  • Gonorrhea (uncomplicated)
• Mechanism of Action:
  • Cefixime: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death.
  • Ofloxacin: Inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial DNA replication and transcription, leading to cell death.
